Welcome to Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

Vizcaya is a National Historic Landmark; we're also a museum owned by Miami-Dade County and accredited by the American Association of Museums. We invite you to visit this serene and stunningly beautiful retreat in the heart of Miami.

Built by agricultural industrialist James Deering in 1916, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens features a Main House, ten acres of formal gardens, and a rockland hammock (native forest).

Exciting News!

Through mid-September, we are replacing the skylight over the Courtyard at the center of Vizcaya's Main House. The Courtyard is closed during this construction project, but most other areas in the Main House and all of our bayfront gardens remain open.

Enjoy admissions discounts and see this work in progress.

Learn more about the skylight project and how it may affect your visit.

Vizcaya is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. except Tuesdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens estará abierto todos los días del año menos los martes, el día de Acción de Gracias y el día de Navidad.
